NEW GEWOGE NEIGHBORHOOD HUB
With the neighborhood hub of the New GeWoGe housing cooperative at Dr.-Carl-Goerdeler-Straße 13, a place has been created that is more than a functional space.
Across approximately 230 square meters, a meeting place has emerged that brings people together, encourages interaction, and makes a sense of community tangible. The collective spirit lies at its core: while housing provides structure, life unfolds through shared experience.
The design is shaped by color, materiality, and atmosphere. Shades of blue and green convey calm and openness, while warm accents of orange introduce vitality and warmth. The color concept guides movement through the space, subtly defines zones, and gives each use its own identity - from creative work and physical activities to communal events.
High-quality furniture and elaborate, custom-made joinery lend the interior depth and a strong sense of value. Built-in elements, precise detailing, and carefully crafted surfaces create places to arrive, to linger, and to connect. The overall impression is intentionally domestic without losing clarity - modern, robust, and welcoming at once.
The selected furniture by Profim reinforces this approach and allows the space to adapt to a variety of changing formats.
The result is a neighborhood hub that fosters identity, builds trust, and offers space for shared life - open, contemporary, and defined by a palpable level of design quality.
