IMMOBILIEN SUCHE

It's never easy to fall in love abroad.
It's never easy to fall in love with abroad.
And it's never easy to find the right property abroad, let alone quickly. Good things take time. This has already been proven during our search in Cape Town and the same applies to London:
A great deal of commitment and perseverance are required here as well as there.
And when the one looking is a dropped out architect and an interior designer in persona, it becomes all the more difficult: the building and the space should have character, be orientated towards the sun, offer sufficient space and an outdoor area. And, and, and ... And all of this within budget, of course.
This could not be realised easily and quickly.
The project to set up a permanent showroom in London was originally launched in 2017 with a rented test space in Earl's Court, until the decision was made in autumn 2019 to acquire our own space in London in order to develop it in line with Aimo Plus. Because this is the only way to show the attention to detail and passion that drives us.
But then corona got in the way and all efforts were put on hold for two years. In 2021, the situation was clarified and then the search began in west London. Of course, the north-west of the Thames is the most expensive and long-established part of London. In such a part of a global metropolis, it is even more difficult to find something with development potential.
In the meantime, we have viewed numerous spaces and flats, and even houses, and have already made for many a bid. But an agreement does not necessarily lead to a purchase, especially in London.
The English language has its own term for this - "gazumping" - which describes when one of the parties changes the terms or backs out shortly before the deal is finalised. Which, as we have learned, is not uncommon in London.
We are still looking - please keep your fingers crossed!
