This new branch of practice, Arthro Clinic, shines fresh and bright in the centre of Bergedorf: 145sqm on two levels recieves the patients with a reduced and puristic choice of colours and forms, sculptural furniture and a homely floor. The CI colour runs like a proverbial red thread through the concept – down to the basement, enhancing also the functional spaces. A flush mounted strip light commuicates between the public areas and reception, waiting area, toilet and the three discreetly arranged accesses to the treatment rooms. In the centre there is a ceiling high illuminated image of a body, which is publicity for the interior and exterior.
The assymetrical counter, as a true solitary, breaks boldly with the straight austerity and is probably due to its occupation as the heart of the whole practice.
As consequence of the stringent planning of all these details, the practice conveys a clear idea, as well as the medical claim of perfection of the Arthro Clinic.
Aesthetic effect and practical functionality are not mutually exclusive here.
