Restaurant Grill
Das Vier Jahreszeiten Hotel (Fairmont Gruppe) in Hamburg gilt als eines der feinsten Häuser der Stadt. Es bietet besten Service, eine hervorragende Lage und verzaubert mit einmaligem Ausblick über die Binnenalster. Es feierte 2022 sein 125 jähriges Bestehen und eröffnet Hamburg einen ganz besonderen Charme.
Die klassische Wohnhalle ist zum Beispiel feiner Hotspot zur Weihnachtszeit – inmitten grandioser Weihnachts-Dekoration lässt sich hier der Champagner oder High Tea (oder auch der High Tea mit Champagner) besonders wohnlich genießen während das Kaminfeuer lodert und der Tannenbaum den Raum dominiert.
Aber der Grill, eines der drei Restaurants im Haus, war doch etwas in die Jahre gekommen: Immerhin hat Emil Fahrenkamp den Raum 1926 entworfen. Es war also Zeit, sich des Raumes und seiner Geschichte neu anzunehmen. Und nun ist das Restaurant neu renoviert und zwar ohne die eigene Tradition zu vergessen. Das neue Konzept ist hell, freundlich sowie farbig – und sehr elegant. Die Zwanziger Jahre wurden zeitgemäß und fröhlich fein interpretiert. Wandmalereien und moderne Kunst von Jorinde Voigt prägen den Raum – ebenso wie zarte Metallarbeiten im Stil der 20er Jahre. Der neue hinzugekommene Ovale Salon ist pastellfarbig und soll an den Feenteich in Hamburg erinnern.
Im Zentrum steht aber die neue Martini Bar, die eine willkommene Ergänzung zur Jahreszeiten Bar („die kleinste Bar Hamburgs“) darstellt.
Der neue Grill läutet somit eine neue Ära ein und ist eine echte Bereicherung für das Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten und ganz Hamburg. Und das gilt nicht für den Raum, sondern für den kulinarischen Genuss gleichermaßen.
Die Unternehmerfamilie Dohle möchte das Vier Jahreszeiten zu einem der besten Hotels Europas werden lassen, mit dem neuen Grill ist wirklich „Eine neue Ära“ aufgezogen und Kurt Dohle auf gutem Weg, diesen Traum zu erfüllen.
The Vier Jahreszeiten Hotel (Fairmont Group) in Hamburg is considered one of the finest hotels in the city. It offers the best service, an excellent location and enchants with an unique view over the Inner Alster. It celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2022 and gives Hamburg a very special charm.
The classic living room, for example, is a fine hotspot at Christmas time – in the midst of grandiose Christmas decorations, champagne or high tea (or high tea with champagne) can be enjoyed here in a particularly cosy atmosphere while the open fire blazes and the Christmas tree dominates the room.
But the Grill, one of the three restaurants in the building, was getting a bit long in the tooth: After all, Emil Fahrenkamp designed the room in 1926. So it was time to take a fresh look at the room and its history. And now the restaurant has been renovated without forgetting its own tradition. The new concept is bright, friendly and colourful - and very elegant. The 1920s have been interpreted in a contemporary and cheerful way. Wall paintings and modern art by Jorinde Voigt characterise the room - as does delicate metalwork in the style of the 1920s. The newly added Oval Salon is pastel-coloured and is reminiscent of the fairy pond in Hamburg.
However, the new Martini Bar takes centre stage and is a welcome addition to the Jahreszeiten Bar ("the smallest bar in Hamburg").
The new Grill thus heralds a new era and is a real enrichment for the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten and the whole of Hamburg. And this applies not only to the space, but also to the culinary delights.
The entrepreneurial Dohle family wants the Vier Jahreszeiten to become one of the best hotels in Europe. With the new Grill, "A new era" has truly begun and Kurt Dohle is well on his way to fulfilling this dream.
